Responsible Jewellery Council
Zamels is a Certified Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).
The Responsible Jewellery Council is an initiative for the jewellery supply chain, from mine to retail.
RJC Certification is audited by an independent third-party, verifying that the Member’s business practices conform to RJC’s Code of Practices (RJC website) for business ethics, human rights, social and environmental performance.
The Kimberley Process is an international certification scheme which came into force in 2003. The scheme regulates trade in rough diamonds, aiming to prevent the flow of conflict diamonds used by rebel movements or their allies, to finance armed conflicts aimed at undermining legitimate governments.
Kimberley Process members account for approximately 99.8% of the global production of rough diamonds.
All diamonds sold by Zamels follow the Kimberley Process.
